Objective: Understand BIM concepts and get comfortable with the Revit interface.
Topics Covered:
Introduction to BIM & Revit
Revit interface & navigation tools
Project setup and templates
Levels and grids
Creating walls (types & properties)
Doors and windows placement
Basic modification tools (move, copy, align, trim)
Saving, exporting, and managing files
Practice:
Create a basic floor plan
Add walls, doors, and windows for a small building
Week 2: Building Elements & Floor Planning
Objective: Develop complete architectural layouts with structural components.
Topics Covered:
Floors: types, boundaries, and slopes
Roofs: footprint & extrusion roofs
Stairs and railings
Columns (architectural & structural)
Understanding families (loadable & system families)
Editing element properties
Using constraints and dimensions
Practice:
Model a residential building floor plan
Add floors, roofs, stairs, and columns
Week 3: 3D Modeling, Views & Documentation
Objective: Convert models into professional drawings and views.
Topics Covered:
3D views & camera views
